DDO = free

I was browsing another forum earlier today (Saturday, October 10, 2009 AD; Gregorian calendar), and stumbled across a topic someone made that said that Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach is now free to play, and available to download on the official website. I couldn't believe it (I personally bought the game about a year ago, but couldn't get the auto-updater to work), so I checked the official website, and sure enough, it is free to play. There is a downside to this though, it means that people like me who actually bought the game kind of wasted our money. And no, I don't work for Turbine, nor am I advertising their product for my benefit. Well, you can get it for free on the official website: http://www.ddo.com/

I'm sure you've found this out by now, but it can be worth it to pay monthly for DDO.

I personally just pay for some content then get other content with store credits I earn in-game. So if you don't want to pay that's fine, but there are perks to being a subscriber.

I've always wanted to try this but was thrown off by having to pay. Might be time to try it, methinks.

I still want my game ^^ for now I'm enjoying to play Atlantica Online because it's free ^^

DDO is definitely worth the look. Best part is that you can do it for free and if it's to your liking, you can subscribe or simply buy the dungeons/areas that you wish. All premium areas you purchase are then yours forever and all of your chars can get in. Additionally, you get 'invites' and can send them to folks you'd like to adventure with that may not have bought the area.
