Sexual Harassment in DDO!

I feel totally violated by the in-game GMs. I very simply stated in general chat that we wanted a rogue to do irestone inlet. I got a response, after our group was done, from a guy saying "you don't need a rogue for irestrone." I told him that I knew that we didn't need one but that it would be nice. I figured that a rogue would be nice for sneak attack, but it didn't even matter! Our group was full! He kept responding over and over with the same thing. So I told him I was going to report him for harassment and he said "yeah, well you're a ***dumpster and everyone knows it." :O So, I reported him, right?

I get an in-game GM saying that I was going to be put on warning. I thought there must be some kind of mistake. They got a supervisor, who strangely had the same name as the original GM, and he said that he reviewed the chat log and that I should be put on warning as well. I completely objected to this! My boyfriend freaked out and got really pissed. Now my account is supsended for 3 days!! And I was the one that was harassed!

It sounds like one of those things where both sides are punished for arguing. As a former teacher, I totally understand. As a parent, I completely understand what you're thinking too. I'd take it to email.

For having posted this, I'm now banned from the game. The lesson is that if you are female, don't play a Turbine game. Turbine supports sexual harassment.

I received an e-mail from Tarrant stating that my account was banned to avoid any further harassment on my part. He also stated that in the future I should reconsider posting on a public forum about private matters since the repurcussions can be unfortunate. I replied stating that if I was to be banned that I would like the money back that I spent on buying two adventure packs. He replied again saying, "consider it pennance for a lesson hard earned."

What I'm surprised at is that they noticed a post -here-? O.o
