Rogue and Ranger levels allow for good upkeep of the Search, Disarm, Open skills (along with Jump, Listen and Spot).
Ranger and Rogue allow for good meele damage via backstab, two weapon fighting...and three feats: Two-Handed Weapon Fighting, Point Blank Range, and Oversized Weapon...allows for a variety of fighting styles that capitalize on the 18Str.
Wizard and Ranger levels allow for good ranged attack options with quick bow attacks and magic wand whipping. And if the monsters get closer then backstab might help, along with Point Blank Range.
Ranger healing wands for healing...Wizard repair wands for repairing.
I'll take the necessary enhancements to help the above and to plan for future levels (like Arcane Archer, etc). The rest of the levels are dedicated to Ranger, pump up rogue skills, get the rest of the two handed feats, slash and ranged weapon criticals, and either use two scimitars or that big Falchion for the good crit range that would be doubled to 15-20 to crit via the afore mentioned feat. I'll also follow the anhancement tree to the end of its Arcane Archer branch. I'm such a miser...it will be nice to have expendable +1 to +5 arrows to use with out remorse...I'm addicted to the auction house...or at least I was when I used to have a paid account last year. :-)
What do you think can improve my Joatmon (Jack of all trades, Master of none)?
EDIT: I just took a long look at the spells rangers have. Very helpful skill boost spells (hide, jump, spot, etc), I like the snare spell for ranged attack assistance, and the Ram's might is a nice low spell level bonus...all attainable if I'm not a cheap skate, lazy bum and unlock higher levels than 4! |
