Blizzards next MMO WILL be a fresh IP

In a post on the official World of Warcraft forums, Blizzard community manager Zarhym came out and said the new MMO was in fact an original IP, saying, "We have nothing to advertise for the new MMO because it's a shell of a game thus far. We've already stated it'll be a brand new franchise, which means the lore, art, and game play are being developed entirely from scratch. It's an overwhelming process, but a process through which we excel. Our track record supports this."

I actually wish they would make a Starcraft MMO. The only problem with that is they would have to expand the classes to more than just Protoss, Terran, and Zerg.

Meh, might check it out. I'm a fantasy-junkie though and Blizzard is unlikely to make two of the same thing so it might not be my "thing".

Despite being WOW-free for a year and a half and counting, I can't help but be a little interested about this. If it costs a bit less than WOW then I'll almost certainly check it out.

Well they have fantasy covered, so I am guessing it will be a sci-fi?

Blizzard are masters of the mmo rpg art, i bet its not set in fantasy, i also think sci-fi is the way to go. I gave up on wow a while ago, might go back and might get more interested in this
