Newsletter Discussion: Longest Play Session?

Many people see MMOs as horribly addicting - and maybe they're right. This week, we'd like to know:

What's the longest you've played an MMO (for one session) without stopping? Be honest!

I regularly do 12 hour sessions. Going to a midnight launch of Wrath tonight, so going to be setting my record tomorrow I think :p

About 6 and a half hours because I was made GM. It was funny they only made me a GM because I was about to quit because I only played to talk with my brother, and the people wanted to keep me around. SO, they made me a GM so I had to play.

I report badge farmers so that way they can't get their precious Matrix badges, among others. Abide by our rules, and do not spam up areas just because you think they're dead. I read dead areas frequently to report badge farming, as it's strongly frowned upon, and necroing is against the rules.

Sad truth: During the earlier days of EQ (EverQuest) camping a piece for the Rogue Epic, which entitled talking to an NPC who was heavily camped fby others who needed to kill him for their Epics also, I camped that thing for 3 real life days and four real life nights. Total camp time was 94 hours straight..... Allot of coffee.

Wow that's kinda dumb, and NPC needed to talk to that is killed by others?

Never more than 2-3 hours at the longest. I am the epitome of the 'casual gamer'. Having kids definitely limits weirdly long play sessions. There aren't enough hours in the day to obsess over a game and have a quality family life. If one has to give, it's games for me. ;)

I used to be able to do 12-15 hour runs, but lately my playtimes match more of a casual gamer. Even if I play 6-8 hours straight, I spend at least an hour or two tabbed out or afk doing other things.

A few years ago, I could spend 15 or so hours raiding or grinding levels (with the usual breaks). Lately, I play a little more casually, spending no more than 8 hours in one place on a Saturday or Sunday.

I been playing atlantica for a month now, and find it very addictive. I usually play about 8 hours a day but I keep my character log-in since there are additional in-game incentives by doing this. I am referring to guild points and party system that allows me to be AFK while leveling-up while even far from the battle, although very small xp can be gained by this way.
