World Of Warcraft: Win a ticket to BlizzCon!
To celebrate the launch of our largest and most complex database yet, WoW WarCry is giving away free BlizzCon tickets to three lucky contributors. Two tickets are available for the top data contributors, while one ticket is available for the top image contributor. We'll be throwing in a bunch of Warcry Choice accounts on top of that, which will remove the ads and open up a few other database features.
Data Contributors (2 tickets)
To win one of these tickets, all you need to do is download the Collector AddOn, install it, and submit the collector data as often as possible by running the launcher to start WoW. We'll be keeping track of the first person to submit information on any item, quest, monster, or NPC - if you're one of the top two submitters in August, you'll earn yourself a free pass to BlizzCon. The top 25 will also get Warcry Choice memberships.
Screenshot Contributors (1 ticket)
We're not just looking for data - we want to know what everything looks like too. Each page in the database for NPCs, Monsters, and wearable Items has a place for a picture - take a screenshot of something without a picture and upload it using our form. If your screenshot follows the guidelines, we'll approve it and give you credit for it. Whoever has submitted the most approved screenshots during August will win the ticket to BlizzCon. The top 10 will also get Warcry Choice memberships.
How can you tell how you're doing? Well, for a rough estimate, take a look at the Top Contributors page. This page gives the all time top contributors, so if you're doing well, you'll appear here as well. We'll be releasing regular updates on the contest progress through the entire month, so keep an eye on the WoW Warcry news for more details.
Rules and Legal
A free WarCry account is required to submit screenshots or data, and therefore to participate in the contest. If you do not have a WarCry account, you can register one here.
Winners will receive one (1) BlizzCon pass and one complementary WarCry Choice account upgrade. Travel, lodging, and any other expenses are the responsibility of the winner. Runners up will receive one (1) complementary WarCry Choice account upgrade. Winners will be notified at the email address they used to register their WarCry account, and via private message through the WarCry forums. In the case of an invalid email address, or no response within five (5) days, the prize will be awarded to the next runner up.
Winners will be determined based on their contributions to the World of Warcraft Warcry Database. Contributions are tallied by an automated computer script based on submitted data. Entrants release WarCry and its respective parent divisions, affiliates, officers, subsidiaries, agents, employees and all others associated with the development and execution of this contest from and against any liability with respect to or in any way arising from this contest and the awarding and use of the prizes. Tampering with the contest in any manner is prohibited. WarCry reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine whether the contest has been tampered with. WarCry reserves the right to disqualify any entrant it suspects or has determined, in its sole discretion, has tampered with the promotion or submitted multiple entries. If WarCry determines that the contest has been tampered with, it reserves the right to terminate the contest without awarding any prizes. WarCry shall not be responsible for any entry not received due to network outages; failed, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmissions; online failures; hardware, software or other technical malfunctions or disturbances; or any other communications or transmission failure.
