Moondrgn was concerned about the monthly events being for everyone. Pex responed to him in this thread. Here is the whole post:

You misunderstand. The monthly story arcs are certainly doable by every player. It's just that some players have chosen one profession or playstyle and refuse to do anything else. I can't do anything about that, except try to entice them to do other things. I don't want to design stories for the lowest common denominator. If that were the case then every arc would be full of neutral delivery missions inside a cantina.
Part of the purpose of story arcs is to get people into the game, to get players to see some of the world outside their door. It's also to try to get more story into the galaxy. So, yes, some story arcs may require something of your character that you do not want, such as joining a faction. That's a decision you need to make for your character.
Oh yeah, almost forgot. If there is a story arc that involves combat (and many will) you can still complete the missions as a non-fighter by grouping with friends, taking the missions and directing them to the fight. Doing these things solo is not the only way to work.
People should note the differences between the Monthly Story Arcs, Live Events, and the rest of the game. While I appreciate people's concerns over Theme Parks and Faction Mission terminals, they are not topics for this forum.

Well i can relate to not wanting the lowest common denominator, but also, i hope they can find a way to include more professions and play styles in the story arc's. All professions pay for the game like everyone else.
