City Of Heroes: Cats + Planes: Casarosa On The Adventures Of Mia

Normally cats and airplanes do not mix. But it takes a true visionary to make a marriage between the two work. Said visionary, Enrico Casarosa. Said marriage, The Adventures of Mia coming from Monkeysuit Press in November, a gem of a comic reminiscent of the best of Miyazaki and great high adventure.

The Adventures of Mia is about well, Mia, a 14 year old cat-girl living in Italy in the 1930s (don't worry, in Casarosa's 1930s Italy, everyone is a cat). A gifted aviatrix, Mia is a strong willed girl, ready to prove her worth by taking on the regions' greatest pilots in a seaplane race.

But let's not put the plane ahead of the cat. First off, Mia's creator, Enrico Casarosa.

Having started drawing when he was around eight years old, Casarosa grew up on a diet of "pasta and anime" as he likes to call it.
