Jumpgate Evolution: Sentients and Infests Attack Quantar Space

I awoke to an alarm coming from the hangar bay. When I got down to my ships, the terminal alerted me to a Conflux sentient attack on Quantar Core sector. I immediately launched in Meinsoon. Report of infestations led me to stop by Squinty's Bar and Grill where I procurred several Glaive nuclear warheads.

I stopped at Stone Temple when I got to Ekoo's Stop and set my pod to return there should the worst occur. I headed towards the Omni V jumpgate, but when I was just 5000 kliks from jumping, an infestation appeared around the jumpgate. I swerved and slammed in the afterburners just in time to scrape by the infestation. I swung Meinsoon around and emptied all of my mounted warheads into the infestation.

After all of my warheads were expended I started to head back to Squinty's for more when Ambrosius showed up in sector with a tow load of nukes. He docked at a nearby POS and distrubted the warheads to me and other pilots in the sector. I was lucky enough that one of the warheads he had given me finished off the infestation, and I got my name announced all throughout space for the first time of the evening.

Shortly after I destroyed the infestation, the infestation from Omni V to Quantar Core sector was destroyed, and there was a clear path. I hurried to QC hoping to make it there before the gates were reinfested, and I did. When I got there the sentients had all been driven off, and the last of the infested jumpgates was being cleared. There were other infestations in various parts of Quantar space, so I headed to ring view to assist in clearing those infestations.

I had picked up some warheads at QC, and after those were expended flew to a POS in Ring View where Ambrosius was handing out the last of his tow load of nukes. I assisted New Dawn pilots in clearing two infestations in that sector. Just as I was about to make another run on an infestation, sentients were reported in Quantar Core again.

I returned to Quantar Core as fast as I could to join the fight against the sentients and the high level drone conflux they brought with them. In the ensuing battle, I discovered how difficult it was to hit a stingray class conflux with mortar weapons, especially when the flux was engaging another pilot. The last flux to go down was a C17S stingray sentient, and it was finished off by Ambrosius.

After the battle, Quantar Core sector was completely cut off from the rest of space by infestations. The entire stock of nuclear warheads at Quantar Core was depleted by clearing these infestations, but there were still well over 200 nukes at the Arcadians 'Public Nuke Storage' station, in QC sector.

Once the infestations in Quantar Core sector were cleared, several pilots headed back to Ring View to destroy infestations in that sector.
