So this is hardly MMO news, but it's definitely RPG-news-worthy, so I figured it worth mentioning - Runic Games' very-near Diablo clone Torchlight has just passed the one-year mark since its release, and to celebrate such an auspicious day, Runic Games is slashing the price of their hack-and-slash masterpiece by 50% from now until October 29, 2010.
That's right - from now until October 29, 2010 at 8am PST, you can pick up the mesmerizing dungeon crawler hack-and-slash masterpiece for only $10. If you haven't already, you can pick it up on steam or at Torchlightgame.com for only $10. If you're looking for something to pass the time while you wait for Blizzard to release Diablo III (I expect it'll be awesome, but don't hold your breath) or for the sure-to-happen-before-then Torchlight II, this is a noble endeavor. The twitching Diablo II fan in my highly, highly recommends this game to you. Some of the best quick and easy fun I've seen in a simple game in years. Buy it and love it.
