Star Wars Galaxies: Time Out

| 13 Oct 2003 01:00

I could hardly breathe, so I was taken to an accident and emergency center, where I was x-rayed and told I had received a hairline fracture on a rib directly under my left shoulder blade. I recovered from this within a month, and though things were alright.

Around 10 days to two weeks ago, I was sitting in a class, when I turned around to my left, probably to talk to another student, when I felt a muscle in my back tense, then went to jelly. I stayed through class for the remaining forty minutes, then went to see the doctor immediately. After examination, he explained to me that I had twisted the left latissimus dorsi, which is the major muscle in your back, from your upper buttocks, to just under the bottom of your shoulder blade, one on each side of your back.

I have been given morphine every three days since, up until yesterday. From now on, I am only to take two special pills, three times a day, morning noon and night for another 2 weeks and am starting physiotherapy tomorrow.

What all of this means, is that I will have a lot less time for sitting at a computer and writing my column, updating news, and general work around the warcry network for you, the fans, for up to another month. I promise that I will try and write at least a story every fortnight on paper then get a friend or relative to type it up for me. Thanks for all of your support, and always remember to keep the faith. Peace out.
