Jumpgate Evolution: US-Conflux Space Survey Deemed Success

| 13 Oct 2003 16:32

TRINN reporter Zoe Vexel just issued the following article on the Hyperweb.

Dr Zevelin, TRI-BSC, issued the following statement this morning:

"The scans of the gates within conflux space generated some very interesting results. We have been working around the clock to analyze the data recovered from the two expeditions over the weekend.

"Our belief is that the gates have been modified by the conflux, perhaps with the intent to trap unwary pilots. These gates are now creating localized gravimetric fields, which, when coupled with the power signatures of standard TRI (and Amananth) power plants causes a feedback loop, which will slowly overload ship electronics.

"All pilots are advised to move away from the gates within conflux space as soon after jumping as possible. Because the fields are localized to the gates, the feedback loop will dissipate as soon as the gate area is cleared.

"We offer our sincere thanks to all those pilots who took part in these dangerous expeditions."

Dr Calatorius, TRIR-CSD, added the following comment:

"During the first expedition, several scans of higher level conflux were obtained. While these scans proved of use to eliminate possibilities for the strange readings from conflux space, more detailed analysis may provide a better understanding of some of the currently unknown conflux classes."

Director Tetsab, TRI-RMD, has informed us that those pilots who participated in one of the expeditions will receive Keval's Thanks and those pilots who took part in both expeditions will also receive Samon's Legacy.
