Busy schedules have kind of put the guild interviews on a bit of a lag. So, to make up for lost time we bring you three new guild interviews this week.

First up, Explorers of Legend...

Give us a brief description of your guild and why you chose the name you did.

[i]In AC1, my home was with a guild called the Walkers of Legend. We were a closely knit, friendly, fun loving bunch. We wanted a name to reflect these beginnings. Explorers of Legend did this nicely, while emphasising our thirst for quests and exploration over a strict diet of power-leveling. Explorers of Legend (EoL) was originally an Asheron's Call 2 (AC2) monarchy, one of the largest and best-known in the game. In Horizons, we are multi-racial, multi-classed. Our membership is mostly North American, but we have members in Europe, Japan, and Australia as well.

Second Up, House of Durin....

Give us a brief description of your guild and why you chose the name you did.

[i]The House of Durin is a Dwarven Role Playing guild with history based on the writings of J.R.R Tolkien's The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, and The Silmarillion. On this date, Brobbet has set his racial creation, the dwarves, to sleep. The eldest of the Seven Fathers of the Dwarves of Istaria, Durin IX, will awake shortly before the waking of the Elves. Now is the time for those who wish to join Durin IX in his quest to rebuild the city of Khazad-dum.

House of Durin was the name chosen for the guild because it means the line of descendants of Durin the Deathless (Durin I), hereditary Dwarven-kings of Durin's Folk. My character's name (Durin IX) was selected because Durin VIII was the last noted dwarf of the House of Durin in Tolkien's writings. The history for my character is that he is the first of the Seven Fathers of the Dwarves of Istaria and thus dwarves born under him are descendants and therefore members of the House of Durin.

And last, but definately not least, Circle of Istaria....

As a 'guild master', tell what is the hardest set back you've had to deal with and how you handled the situation. (Which MMO was it and what was the out come?)

[i]The best part of being a guild master is having every one know your name and position. But it has ALOT of downsides. It is MUCH easier to be just a member then a guild leader! You have to put up with constant bickering, arguments, and threatnings of guild splits. This was in Asherons Call, when 2 of my officers threatened to take away their branch of vassals. I simply convinced them it was the wrong move and had them stay.
