Polish off your bronze arm and wipe off your monocle; a new steampunk MMO is on the way!
If there's one thing I love, it's the steampunk aesthetic. All that anachronistic technology, all that fantastical science and steam, and of course, all those gears! Gears on everything! Everything, I say! Alas, when I look around for a steampunk-themed MMO, it's a sparse wasteland. It looks like this trend is about to change, however.
Yesterday, Germany-based free-to-play publisher Burda:ic GmbH, known for such games as Florensia and Land of Chaos Online, issued a press release announcing the launch of a teaser site for its upcoming steampunk/fantasy themed MMORPG, ARGO Online. On said site, you can see the first official trailer for the Noblian faction, champions of technology and progress who have long been at war with the nature-inspired forces of the Floresslah.
While not much information is out yet about the game, ARGO Online promises to be a futuristic MMORPG featuring thousands of quests, a pet system, a wide variety of PvP modes, and epic battles featuring hundreds of players. The game is currently scheduled to be released in Europe and North American in early 2011, and we here at WarCry will keep you updated on all new developments as we get closer to the launch.
