Asherons Call: Results of "Macro" Survey Have Been Published

Thank you to Shadow for letting us know that the results of the "macro and 3rd party apps" survey have been published over on the MS Zone AC2 site. There are no real surprises - most people oppose combat macroing and support trade macros, and there was split concerning XP chains. They have reiterated their stance:

However, to maintain the high quality, timeliness, and fairness of our customer service, we do not plan to change how we enforce the Code of Conduct for Asheron's Call 1 or 2. We will not ban players for the apparent use of ?combat macros? or other macros unless we determine that such usage is detrimental to the game. One of the reasons we do not intend to do this is there are times when "real people behavior" and "macro behavior" are very hard to distinguish, and we don't want to unilaterally penalize real people. As always, we reserve the right to review and update these policies as deemed necessary.
