Anyway, Drayen is our latest moderator on the scene, and quite the character :P He also passed my 'standard' incoming-staff-questionaire with flying colors, and I simply must post the question and his reply:

Nevir: What is the average airspeed velocity of an unladen dragon?

Drayen: The average airspeed velocity of an unlaiden dragon is directly proporionate to their size and wing span. For instance a large European dragon with a 20-foot wingspan would have an AAV(average air-speed velocity) of 60 mph, however, certin African breeds have much smaller bodies, and thus a 20-foot wing span would allow them to travel at a greater speed based on their body weight. The calculations can best be described by the following formula

(S + W x 3)/2=A

Where as S=the wingspan, W=the weight, and A=the Average Airspeed Velocity
