City Of Heroes: Beta Update...Sort Of

Greetings, City of Heroes Fans! The Amazing Aura Manning has provided a bit of an update on the status of beta in response to some wild rumors about a password protected beta section of the official web site. Here's the scoop:

No aspect of beta has started yet. We will tell you as soon as we have a starting date projection firm enough to share.

The url referred to in your post was created back in August and nothing's really been done with it yet, so don't get too excited. We are, however, closer to starting closed beta than we ever have been before, and that's certainly a good thing, right?

Remember...you can find these sort of links on the net, you can hear rumors from people about beta...but really, it's quite simple when you stop to think about it. You're our community -- we want you to know when we've started, or are about to start the first stages of beta -- it's great news for everyone.

So, I recommend that instead of all the theorizing about secret betas, or instead of thinking that beta info is being kept from you, you just listen and watch the web site, because really - we will tell you. And we'll tell you first. Honest engine. :)
