Horizons: November Ask AE Part 2

Horizons Vault has released the next part in their ongoing November Ask AE articles. In it, they offer up some good questions, and David Bowman responds. Here's a preview:

Lepidus: Can you please explain how the loot will work in horizons knowing there won't be any useable items drops? What exactly can we find on mobs? How useful will the loot be? Any chance of rare/exciting loot? What's the average drop rate for creatures? How will group looting work?
David Bowman: I have not said there will be no useable item drops. Some items that can be found on the corpses of monsters can be immediately put to use. You will also find damaged weapons, tools and equipment on monsters of the appropriate type. Many monsters are the only source of resources used in Techniques applied to tools, weapons, equipment and jewelry. Depending on the power and danger of the monster, you can expect to find both increased treasure and improved odds of recovering rare desirable knowledge or resources.
