The action star was a guest of honor at a professional tournament in China.
Jet Li is known here in the states for his martial arts training and killer smile in movies like Hero, Lethal Weapon 4 and The Expendables, but I never thought he was into gaming. And maybe he isn't, but Li was in attendance at an event promoting the upcoming MMO based on medieval China - Age of Wushu. The tournament was meant to hype up the MMO's focus on skill rather than time-investment, and featured contestants from all over the world. Jet Li doesn't look that happy to be there.
The publisher Snail Games paid Li to appear in a commercial for the upcoming release of Age of Wushu on April 10th. The MMO is unique in that it doesn't levels or XP, but you can choose from 8 martial arts classes and engage in a vibrant PVP community.
