A new story instance, WvW abilities, guild missions, and more await you in part four of Guild Wars 2's Flame & Frost: Retribution Event.

ArenaNet have dropped some serious details on the final installment of the Guild Wars 2 Flame & Frost: Retribution four-part content series. From a story standpoint, Retribution will tie up everything in the series up until this point and finish with a climactic battle between the Molten Alliance and your new friends Rox the charr and Braham the norn.

The Flame and Frost series began in January and acted as a way to bring additional norn and charr content to Guild Wars 2. The update introduced Living Story to the game, which tracks the progress of a narrative, and centers around charr and norn refugees who are looking for a new home after the Molten Alliance ravaged theirs.

The world of Guild Wars 2 is filled with thousands of dynamic events that constantly change based on the actions of players like you. Fast-paced, action-oriented combat lets you attack on the move, dodge and roll away from enemy blows, team up with other players, and take advantage of environmental weapons to dominate the battlefield! Competitive play in Guild Wars 2 is easy to learn, but offers challenges for new players and hardcore PvPers alike. Guild Wars 2 is your story - your choices determine how your personal story evolves, and with thousands of possible variations, no two players will have the exact same experience.

In Retribution, players will join Rox the charr and Braham the norn in order to make a final strike against the Molten Alliance. Players will have to travel to the heart of the Alliance's weapon facilities and deal with their fiery arsenal in order to defeat a final boss that will go down in Guild Wars 2 history.

In the new Living Story dungeon, it'll be up to players to rescue captives and destroy as much Molten machinery as they can. In terms of difficulty, the dungeon has been described as somewhere between story and explorable mode dungeons and will take experienced groups around 30-45 minutes to run through.

In addition to the story portion, Retribution also adds other new content to Guild Wars 2 including, new World vs. World abilities, Guild Missions, Guild Siege Weapons and Back Banners, and Retribution Items in the Gem Store.

The update will be going live on April 30, so you've still got a few days to prepare for the epic encounters you're sure to face.
