All aboard! Anno Online sets sail for beta.
A lot of city building games these days focus on building the futuristic city of your dreams, but not Anno Online. In the free-to-play browser based MMO sequel to Anno 1404, players will build up medieval cities and establish trade routes over the open seas in order to expand across numerous islands. The game entered closed beta this week and Ubisoft have released a trailer to pique your interest which we've posted below.
Anno Online takes place in a persistent world of thousands of other seafarers looking to build their own islands and gain wealth and power in the new world. With over 1,000 buildings plus decorative items to play around with, there's already plenty to do in the game.
With the next beta update in May, Ubisoft and Blue Byte hopes to implement a guild system with private chat channels, allowing players to cooperate with up to 25 members in order to conquer new territories.
For now, feast your eyes on the Anno Online trailer.
