What better way to get players excited for a one year anniversary than to bring a new raid to TERA.
Having seasonal events that echo those of our own world is quite a pleasant thing to experience in videogames - and in addition to its usual Christmas and Halloween events, TERA is also adding its own birthday to the list. Released in North America a year ago, TERA is celebrating its birth month with a series of new additions.
According to an infographic released by En Masse Entertainment, over 1.5 million accounts have been made since TERA's launch, and they're rewarding players' loyalty this month. From May 14 to 20, there'll be a new raid available, and it'll be a lot "meaner than your usual sort - the En Masse blog recommends a minimum of 10 players, with a maximum of 20 being able to join at any one time.
Additionally, a new 20-versus-20 battleground will launch in mid-June; players level 30 and up will be able to participate and gain XP. The blog promises that this battleground will be different to what players are used to, with blimps and cannons being amongst the weapons available.
TERA takes the fight beyond whack-a-mole monotony with enhanced aiming, dodging, and tactical timing to create intense and rewarding combat. Unlike other MMOs, you can use your controller or keyboard and mouse to control the action like never before. With all the depth you expect from a traditional MMO, plus the intense gratification of action combat, TERA changes all the rules.
En Masse are also promising some behind-the-scenes changes, including work to delay the updates between the Korean and North American servers.
