Molag Bal, the God of Schemes, is about to steal your soul in Elder Scrolls Online.
We haven't heard much about The Elder Scrolls Online recently, but there are two new bits to start us talking about the upcoming MMO again. The first is that TESO will be playable at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany from August 21-25. Next, Zenimax Online Studios and Bethesda have released a new trailer detailing the überplot that will drive players to attempt to reclaim their souls. Lawrence Schick, lead loremaster for TESO tells us more about Molag Bal and the realm he rules - Coldharbor.
Gamescom is one of Europe's largest gaming conventions with last year's attendance coming it at over 275,000 attendees visiting 600 exhibitors from 40 different countries last year. For those not in Europe, Bethesda and Zenimax Online state that they will be announcing more conventions they will attend soon.

The new trailer, "Journey to Coldharbor" features a variety of scenes from Daedric Prince Molag Bal's Oblivion Plane. This plane, called Coldharbor, is a dreary and desolate place where Molag Bal, God of Schemes has been waiting. He is pursuing plans to combine Tamriel and Coldharbor through daedric devices called Dark Anchors.
At the beginning of the game, Molag Bal steals the main character's soul and it is up to the player to get their own soul back while trying to learn why Molag Bal has gone to such lengths to keep it hidden from the player.
The Elder Scrolls Online is being developed by ZeniMax Online studios and is set to published and live by Bethesda sometime in 2013.
