Star Wars Galaxies: Star Wars Correspondent!

KStarfire has today been announced as the Star Wars Correspondent of SWG. A big congratulations to him. His job includes making sure everything matches continuity and that everything feels "Star Warsy. The first order of business was vehicles, and the following PM was sent to a developer:

Swoops versus Speeders

I would like to point out a serious breakdown in continuity that has occurred recently. Fortunately, it can be remedied before it goes live.

A speeder bike should be much slower than a swoop bike. I am surprised no one has noticed this yet (maybe not a lot of Star Wars trivia experts out there ). A swoop bike is basically a rocket engine with a seat. They crash if you turn them wrong. They fall apart if they scrape a wall.

A speeder bike is the stable alternative. The reason the speeders were used by the Empire is because they were safer...and the reason a Swoop gang exists is because they ride the dangerous, "cool" super-fast rocket-bikes.

This is a serious breakdown of continuity, and I would hope someone who practically works for the company can get them to hear this.

Currently, the developers are discussing what to do about this matter. Great job to the community and KStarfire for their efforts!
