Darkfall: Darkfall Status Update

Tasos dropped by the boards today to update the news-hungry mob on the status of the game. Here's a snippet:

We've been quiet for a while, being in a stage of implementation with little to report. We thought it would be best to start by giving the community an overview with information of where we're at, and what we're doing now. We'll continue with frequent status updates as needed until Darkfall's release.
" The major game systems (physics, combat system, basic AI, spawns, etc.) are up and running and are currently being tweaked, tuned and optimized.
" The player interaction framework (user interface, skill system, spell system etc.) is implemented.
" The world is up and running and content is being added.
" The game art is approximately 80% complete for release and it's on schedule.
" We're tying up loose ends and making the connections between the various subsystems.
" We're in the process of implementing visual effects and improving the visual elements of the game.
" We're in the final stages of discussing server solutions with ISPs.

He then proceeded to give some of the reasons as to why they've been experiencing some delays. Most importantly, it also appears that the game is progressing even better than expected.
