The zombie-battling Zomber Squad also gets a new server.
Let's just say that by the time a zombie apocalypse does happen, it won't be nearly as big a deal as it is in movies, given all the in-game training we've had. New browser-based MMORPG Zomber Squad is upping the ante as well, with the announcement that a new server is on the way in anticipation of soon-to-be-added features.
Zomber Squad first entered open beta on May 17 with a single server, Outbreak. Now a second server, Apocalypse, is planned for a June 3 launch; it'll go live at 00:01am PDT.
Zomber Squad is a free-to-play action MMO where you control up tothree3 characters simultaneously in intense bouts with the undead.
Players will soon be able to complete a limited amount of Daily Missions for rewards, with the clock resetting each midnight, server time. Rewards will vary based on the missions' difficulty - players may receive Gold, Tech Points, or cool items.
Finally, a new PvE mode is being launched, giving players a chance to wreak havoc on a "dungeon of locked-up Zombers" when they don't quite feel like dealing with other players.
It's those early days that can make or break an MMO, so let's hope these new additions strengthen Zomber Squad - if we're lucky, we could be looking at the next hit browser game here.
