Celebrate Guild Wars 2 in style this summer at the Dragon Bash Festival.
After the past few months of animal attacks and other grim events, it's time to take a load off in Guild Wars 2's new Dragon Bash Festival event. The Dragon Bash celebration is the latest Living Story evolution, and is poised to be a more lighthearted event for players than any in the past. The Dragon Bash festivities begin June 11 and will last until July 9.
In the new GW2 Dragon Bash event, users can head to Lion's Arch and play mini-games, earn rewards, and participate in a murder mystery of an elite character. If you stay in the city long enough, you'll be able to watch an explosive fireworks show every night in-game starting on June 14.
The world of Guild Wars 2 is filled with thousands of dynamic events that constantly change based on the actions of players like you. Fast-paced, action-oriented combat lets you attack on the move, dodge and roll away from enemy blows, team up with other players, and take advantage of environmental weapons to dominate the battlefield! Competitive play in Guild Wars 2 is easy to learn, but offers challenges for new players and hardcore PvPers alike. Guild Wars 2 is your story - your choices determine how your personal story evolves, and with thousands of possible variations, no two players will have the exact same experience.
Some of the mini-games that will be available during the festival include Dragon Ball and Moa Racing. There will also be dragon piņatas hung up around the city that players can smash open for some delicious Dragon Bash candy.
During the event there will also be holographic projectors spread all throughout Tyria that contain hologram minions. If you can manage to slay one, they'll drop a Dragon Coffer filled with all sorts of goodies.
As for rewards, players will get access to some of the most awesome looking loot yet for participating in the festival. For example, by attending the entire fireworks show in Lion's Arch, players will be rewarded with a unique helm called the Horns of the Dragon.
Players can also earn holographic dragon wing back items by playing mini-games or by killing holographic minions out in the world. There are also Dragon's Jade weapon skins which can be found in Coffers, and a helmed Moa Racer Mini pet.
