Blizzard seems committed to making WoW into a fun game one step at a time!
Blizzard recently posted a preview of the new raid changes for the 5.4 update to World of Warcraft. Once this Flexible Raid system goes live, players can create a raid with anywhere between 10 and 25 players. These raids will scale difficulty to match the number of players present.
Flexible Raids also work with players on different realms. That's right, if you're friends on Battle.net, you can now raid with them. These raids are also different from the Raid Finder and Normal Raid timers. This means that players can now do three different versions of the same raid each week for different item leveled loot.
Flexible Raiding, according to Blizzard, "Includes a new difficulty that sits between Raid Finder and Normal difficulty, while still allowing friends, family, or pick-up groups to play together. This difficulty will be available for premade groups of 10-25 players, including any number in between. That means whether you have 11, 14, or 23 friends available for a Raid, they'll all be able to participate."
There is no item level restriction on this type of raiding but the item level of drops within these raids will fall somewhere between raid finder and normal raiding. You can also expect the same raid-finder, per person loot system to make its way into the Flexible Raids, but it is uncertain as to whether or not the Elder Charms will allow you to roll for more loot on each boss.
One final note, the preview mentions that players who finish Flexible Raids will have access to "special" rewards that aren't available in raid finder.
Mists of Pandaria is the fourth expansion to the hugely popular World of Warcraft. Here, players leave the nearly broken world of Azeroth in the shadow of the last big opponent, Deathwing. They enter the mists of the lost Pandaren continent-a land of Asian-inspired, beer filled adventure. The introduction of the Pandaren race and the Monk class met with skepticism from the player-base at first; however, that skepticism quickly dissipated as the fun and light-hearted adventure of this expansion unfolded before them.
