Missions allow you to go above and beyond your duty.
With World of Tanks' recent 8.6 patch, a few new features were added including an update to the artillery system, the addition of new tanks, and the Missions feature. The new Mission system is now live, challenging players to complete new objectives in addition to winning a battle.
The first Mission is a repeatable Mission called Hat Trick. The Mission is available now until July 4 at 7 AM EST and seems simple enough. All you've got to do is destroy three or more tanks in a single battle. For doing so, players will be rewarded with a nice amount of experience and money.
Experience intense tank-on-tank combat in a unique battlefield MMO based on real tanks from the mid-twentieth century. The combination of top-notch graphics, a complex physics system, and stunning sound effects all help to provide endless excitement as you control a tank in battles with up to 30 vehicles at a time.
Missions themselves were intended to supplement players with more content aside from daily quests, according to World of Tanks developer Wargaming. Missions, they've explained, will come in three varieties. Aside from repeatable missions, there will be daily missions as well as one-time Missions. Daily Missions can only be completed once per day. One-time Missions can only be completed once per account.
In future updates, Wargaming plans to expand the Mission feature with new UI and new Mission types. These new Missions include Weekly Missions that can only be completed once a week, and Operations. Operations are larger Missions that will task players with completing a set of themed Missions. "Imagine a set of Daily Missions themed around D-Day, that all must be completed to earn the reward from something called Operation Overlord," said Wargaming.
There isn't a set date for these new features, but World of Tanks' 8.6 update is available now for free.
