Finally some good news for Square Enix.
Square Enix have proudly announced that the beta for their new MMO, Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn, has more than one million registered users. This is great news for the developer, who have been working hard to rebuild FF14 after its original launch was plagued by bugs, lag, and other various issues.
Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn is currently in its third phase of closed beta, and will enter Open Beta in the next few weeks. The third phase allows players to level up to 35 on both the PlayStation 3 and PC, and it seems as though people can't wait to get in.
We've covered the closed beta extensively. In our first preview we went over the early levels of the game as well as some of the changes from the old version to the new one. In the second preview, we explain the procedures and mechanics of the game. Finally, our third preview takes you through some dungeons and gives insight on what to expect in the early teen levels.
If all the hype has you interested, you can sign up for the FF: ARR Beta at the official Square Enix site.
Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn will be out for PC and PlayStation 3 on August 27.
