For about $15 dollars, you can set your avatar's head on fire in WoW. Cold fire.
Warcry reported earlier on several new cosmetic helms being added to the World of Warcraft in-game store. These helms have now been officially added to the Blizzard stores across the world with price tags of £10 €15 and $15. These cosmetic helms, called Jewel of the Firelord, Hood of Hungering Darkness, and Crown of Eternal Winter, are the first content from Blizzard's patch 5.4 for World of Warcraft content.
Patch 5.4 is the climax of the Mists of Pandaria expansion pack. Here, adventurers will chase after the new Horde Warchief, Garrosh Hellscream, as he attempts to eradicate the foes of his vision of the horde thanks to the influence of the Sha of Pride. The "nephew of Onyxia," Wrathion, has been manipulating the warchief as well as the human king, Varian Wrynn, into a confrontation that will force the scales to balance in the favor he desires. It remains to be seen if Wrathion, who escapes at the end of the fall of Garrosh Hellscream, will become the focus of the next expansion pack for World of Warcraft.
In patch 5.4, Blizzard has promised new Proving Ground content as well as a number of new raids and pvp battle augmentations. In addition, they will be adding a lot of new pets and mounts. Pets like the Battle Corgi and mounts like the Sky Golem will be offered through cash shops. Blizzard is also adding items to the cash shop that will increase the amount of experience points gained per kill to the same shop. It remains to be seen how fans will react to these items or to this content though the Public Test Realm is certainly a place to check those items and 5.4 content out.
