Behaviour Interactive confirmed information they have given via interviews by moving their development counter to phase 2. Behaviour released a slurry of new information about the new MMO as well.
Behaviour cemented the initial races that will be available for players at launch. These races include Space Marines, Chaos Space Marines, Eldar, and Orks. Each race will have a different play style, quest hub, and user interface. In addition to races, Behaviour also gave some information about armies. Each army is diverse and able to be joined through a variety of multiplayer units. These units - called Chapters, Legions, Clans or Craftworlds - influence the various bonuses and content available to them.
Warhammer 40k: Eternal Crusade was announced at E3 2013. It is being developed by Behaviour Interactive who is responsible for such games as WET, Voltron: Defender of the Universe, and Naughty Bear. Behaviour is currently in the very early stages of development and as of yet, has not shown any in-game footage.
A Warhammer 40k MMO has been in development hell for quite some time. Previously, the Darksiders developer Vigil Games was responsible for the THQ funded Warhammer 40k: Dark Millennium MMO until the THQ corporate entity was dismantled in 2012.
Warhammer 40k fans have hesitantly kept hopeful as the devs at Behaviour Interactive have shown that they know a little bit about the Warhammer 40k universe.
