YoshiP showed off PVP gameplay, new mounts (a unicorn!), an Ahriman (eye) mount, in-house furniture, and promised that they would show off the Ul'dah and Gridania housing areas during the next LIVE producer letter. YoshiP added that they will be installing player housing in the initial 3 starting zones but may consider new areas for housing if they receive enough requests.
Players will get subscription bonuses at 30, 60, and 90 days of paid time. If a player signs up for 90 days at once, he or she will immediately recieve all items for those tiers. They plan to add more rewards for further subscriptions but will do so after launch. These bonuses are:
Reward for subscribing 30 days:
- Wind-up Cursor (minion)
- Phial of Fantasia (Used to change the appearance of your character)
Reward for subscribing 60 days:
- Cascadier Uniform Voucher (Grants black "heat resistant gear")
- A Black Chocobo Chick (minion)
Rewards for subscribing 90 days:
- Beady Eye (Ahriman minion)
- Voidsent Resonator (Ahriman mount)
As for account tools, YoshiP noted that 2-3 weeks after launch, they will be implementing a paid world transfer service. They also do not plan on any sort of ability to transfer characters or items between accounts. However, they did announce that in addition to Crysta and Credit Cards, that Square Enix will be releasing time cards for convenience stores and game stores. In that vein, they have also added that they do not plan on removing the restriction on receiving whispers while in a dungeon. They plan to keep this in place so that players who get kicked out of dungeon parties cannot heckle those still in the dungeons.
Finally, YoshiP added that they will hopefully add a means through which players can create Addons approximately 8 months after launch.
Even more information will be released as we dig through the producer letter translations and videos. So, stay tuned to Warcry for more Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn news!
