The PC port of Guardians of Middle-Earth is now available for $19.99 on Steam.
Guardians of Middle-Earth, the Tolkien based MOBA originally released on consoles is now available for PC gamers to play. Launching yesterday, August 29th, the game allows players to play as one of 36 powerful Guardians from the across the ages of Middle-Earth in battles based in of three gameplay modes.
Enter the lands of Middle-Earth in Guardians of Middle-Earth, a MOBA based in the magical lands of J.R.R. Tolkien.
Included natively among these modes is Survival, which on consoles was added in later as a piece of DLC. In addition to that perk, the PC version will come with some extras of its own, including alternate skins for each of the game's Guardians that are exclusive to the port.
We had the opportunity to play Guardians of Middle-Earth prior to its release and it was a lot of fun. While the internet is certainly not lacking for MOBA's, Guardians is a solid port of a solid game and provides a nice option for gamers with a particular affinity for The Lord of the Rings and the works of J.R.R. Tolkien.
Honestly, our biggest concern with the game may be its price tag. Guardians of Middle-Earth is available on Steam for $19.99. That being the case, there are plenty of other robust MOBAs, League of Legends for instance, that let you in the doors free of charge. Whether or not PC gamers, with a lot of options already available from the MOBA scene, will be willing to shell out that much money for this game is something we're not sure of.
