Super September

RuneScape is promising a unique challenge every day during its month long Super September event.

With the month of September mere hours away, RuneScape is preparing to challenge its members with the month long Super September event. For every day of September users will have the option to take on diverse in-game challenges that will run the gamut of variety.

Journey to the fantasy world of Gielinor and join millions of others in the world's greatest online adventure! Battle dragons and wizards with medieval weaponry and magic, undertake epic quests, upgrade your skills or just socialize with your friends. RuneScape is one of the largest, most expansive online strategy adventure games on the web today.

For instance, in addition to things like combat challenges, players will also be asked to travel the game world, raise their stats in specific skills, perform good deeds and eat exorbitant amounts of food. Each Super September challenge will aim to be completely different from the one that came before it. Players who participate in these challenges can, in turn, expect some ample rewards in return for their efforts. Each challenge completed will earn a hefty sum of XP in a skill of the player's choice.

Players who consistently take part and complete multiple challenges will be able to earn milestone prizes including a superhero outfit, super titles, lightning bolts, claws, a new emote option and a superhero shield. The Super September challenges will have no level requirement and can be accessed through the standard Challenge tab.

All in all, this seems like a fun idea for an event, as well as a clever way to try and keep players playing consistently over the course of the month. What will be interesting to see is just how unorthodox the challenges really become. Given some of the things already described, we're hoping to see at least a few that really broach on being bonkers.
