A new way to pay for your goodies in World of Tanks and the upcoming World of Warplanes.
Nexon has found a new partner for its Karma Koin system that will open up a World of opportunity for players.
Karma Koin cards are available at more than 75,000 retailers around the world and come in denominations of $10 to $500. Players can use the unified currency in Nexon's games and now in Wargaming's offerings. Nexon turns over one percent of its proceeds to charity.
"We're committed to providing our players with as many flexible and safe payment options as possible," Mike Turner, vice president of Business Development at Wargaming, said in a release. "Our new partnership with Nexon America and Karma Koin will address that desire, and we're excited to give our players a new and philanthropic payment option to enhance their in-game experience."
Wargaming is the latest company to start using Karma Koins. More than 30 games use the system, most of them MMOs.
Wargaming has a unified account system for its games, combining World of Tanks, World of Warplanes (coming later this month), and World of Warships (coming some time next year). It just recently allowed players who get a premium account in one game to have premium status in all games. Karma Koins becomes a new option for players to use to attain premium status, as well as purchase many of the cosmetic upgrades Wargaming uses in its "free to win" F2P format.
