There be a dragon rising from the depths to devour the Splintered Coast.
Fresh off a Clockwork Invasion that was beaten back to save poor Queen Jennah, Guilds Wars 2 players will now face a revamped and familiar nemesis in the next update coming September 17. Tequatl is Rising.
According to the official site, Tequatl the Sunless has undergone some formidable changes:
This ancient dragon, scourge of the Splintered Coast, has become more formidable than ever, with an arsenal of new attacks and lethal tricks at its disposal. To stop this rampaging beast, you'll join forces with old friends and new allies in a desperate battle where failure is a very real option. Tequatl has risen -- and it will take an army of players to bring it down!
Ooooo, anyone else get chills? OK, maybe not. But in addition to the old wyrm, the promised Looking for Group tool will be included, as well as new ruins of power in World v. World, and a new WvW ability called Flame Ram Mastery. Oh, and a bunch of other bosses have been tweaked and adjusted to make them more "challenging."
Although it is not mentioned in the reveal notes, also scheduled for this update is a change to crafting and magic find. Weapon crafting is being boosted to level 500, with armor crafting expected to come later this year. Magic find stats are being eliminated from Gear all together.
