Star Wars: The Old Republic Giving Away Free Stuff

Star Wars: The Old Republic Dread Wars Update

New players, subscribers and those using free-to-play all can get in on the goodies.

Developer BioWare has been generous of late in Star Wars: The Old Republic. Not only has it started giving away Rise of the Hutt Cartel for free, it is passing out a couple goddies in game for no charge.

Players can now get a JA-3 Subversive Battle Droid pet and a JA-3 Subversive Speeder to add to their inventory. There is a small catch, but nothing too out of the ordinary. New players just need to create and account and start playing for free (yep, no subscription needed). If you are a previous subscriber and have dropped for any reason, just reactivate your account and also get 500 Cartel Coins. If you are a current subscriber, just keep doing what you are doing. If you are enjoying free-to-play, then subscribe. That seems to be all the fine print.

The offer is only good until October 20, so if you have any interest in using force powers, wielding lightsabers and tolling around in the Star Wars universe, then take advantage of the free stuff.
