What the best-dressed warriors are sporting in Tamriel.
The Elder Scrolls Online is looking mighty impressive as developer Zenimax Online gets the game ready for prime time come Spring of next year. Players have been devouring any information released so they can prepare for their adventures in Tamriel. Those who prefer to go into battle as tanks just looking to soak up the heavy blows to protect their less armored associates should like the latest image unveiled.
New concept art shows off the heavy armor of the Dark Elf, Wood Elf and Redguard -- some pretty impressive looking gear if it can be translated in game and much better than some new armor revealed for another popular MMO. Here's what the developer had to say about the look:
Heavy armor offers adventurers excellent protection in battle, allowing them to deflect deadly blows and act as bulwarks for more lightly-clad allies. Every race has its own approach to creating these impressive armors, and each has its own style.
TESO will have a monthly fee of $14.99 when it is released, but it will also employ microtransactions. "We'll have a shop to buy kind of fun stuff, and services too, like name changes and things like that," game director Matt Firor said recently. "But it's not part of the core game. Anything in the core game is included in the subscription price."
