"Rich, immersive multiplayer experience" is the goal.
Those of you anxious to hop into the cockpit of your favorite warplane for a dogfight to the death with your friends in World of Warplanes will need to wait an extra month and a half as developer Wargaming has delayed the release of the game until November 12.
"We are committed to releasing a great title and are doing everything to ensure that World of Warplanes gets the final polish we believe the game needs," said Vlad Belozerov, World of Warplanes' Director of Global Operations. "The extra time will allow the development team to fine-tune the game balance and make sure that every feature is top-notch before launch."
As a bit of an appeasement to players already getting excited about the game in beta, Wargaming has announced that experienced earned in beta will not be reset after launch. "The total sum of experience points you have earned on all warplanes will be evenly distributed between the pilots of the tier I warplanes," the developer said.
Trying to spin the delay in a positive light, the developer said the additional time will allow players to get more tokens for Premium time for their accounts for both World of Warplanes and World of Tanks. And keep flying those planes so you can hit the required number of battles to get an exclusive beta warplane.
So erase that circle you had around September 26 and put it around November 12. At least you can go take your frustrations out on other players in the beta.
