A new video from Gaijin Entertainment has been released showcasing War Thunder's tank combat.
Gaijin Entertainment, the developer behind the upcoming MMO War Thunder, has released a new video showcasing the game's tank combat. The video begins with the player driving a tank from a third person perspective. They briefly shift into a first person view to aim and check out their surroundings. After a bit of driving the player comes upon an objective marker. Turning toward it they are fired on by an enemy tank. We are then shown the player tank and the enemy tank duking it out until the enemy tank is subdued. Proceeding forward the player meets several other opposing tanks on the way, dispatching them in a similar fashion until they too are destroyed, respawn and then execute a nifty artillery strike to claim some revenge.
The video continues on in a similar fashion before shifting over to a brief combat segment. As with the tank, this starts off in the third person with the controlling player able to switch to the first person perspective to look around the cockpit. Things quickly speed up as the player turns to engage enemy tanks on the ground. They're quickly shot down on a second run before again switching over to a tank. From that point on it's a lot of the same shown earlier, just with a different tank.
All in all, it's an interesting watch and, while things look a little slow moving at points, we can only imagine they'll pick up once War Thunder's servers are teeming with users eager to blow each other to smithereens.
