Blizzard has surveyed its users to gauge their feelings about the upcoming Reaper of Souls expansion for Diablo III.
In preparation for the its upcoming expansion to Diablo III, Reaper of Souls, Blizzard Entertainment recently ran a survey to gauge the interests and opinions of its registered users. The survey covered a variety of topics including special editions, pricing, game systems and how importantly players ranked certain features.
Diablo III is an action RPG set in the dark fantasy setting of Sanctuary, where players must face demonic hordes in order to equip themselves with epic equipment and face down the Lord of Hell.
For instance, the survey asked players to "Consider two versions of the expansion: a Standard Edition for $29.99 and a Collector's Edition for $49.99." The standard edition, as described, would include the basic contents of the Reaper of Souls expansion. The collector's edition comparatively would be comprised of the expansion, exclusive in-game content and "other bonus items."
Following that the survey asked participants to report on whether they were gaming on PCs or on consoles and then asked them questions to gauge how much they knew about the Reaper of Souls expansion. It then asked them to rank a set of features in order of personal importance. Included among the listed features were an increased level cap, loot runs, new player classes, gear transmogrification, a new Paragon level/point system, Nephalem tirals, a new loot system, and new "Act of" content.
Blizzard's stated goal with this survey was to gain feedback from Diablo III users to help "make the most epic gaming experiences possible." The responses in turn "will help us determine which areas to focus our attention in the coming months."
