Asherons Call: Decal New Version Final Release

We have received a press release from the Decal folks about the new version of Decal being final.

Release 2.3 of Decal is now available at the Decal Home Page

This is the official supported release and is a recommended update for all users. Earlier versions of Decal are no longer supported.

Changes:
[li]Fixes and enhances the World Filter, which is used for inventory and world object management by many plugins.
[li]Adds new ACHooks interface, used by Zyrca's Orienteer and Zyrca Bot.
[li]Provides the ability to release individual components without requiring a full Decal release.
[li]Other miscellaneous bug fixes and UI improvements.

NOTE: This version of Decal does not directly support the casting of Harm, Drain Life, or War spells.

The AC Developers are fully aware that individual plugin authors will be able to write their own code that does not have these restrictions, and that due to the nature of open source, hacked versions of Decal may be made available without those restrictions. However, we feel this more clearly puts out the message that Decal developers do NOT support combat macroing.

Decal does NOT check what plugins you are using, monitor plugin activity or send any information back to a central server. Plugins that use their own methods of casting spells will continue to work. Only those plug-ins that used the Decal 'castspell' API are affected by this change. These changes also do not affect the use of castspell for any spell other than those listed.

If you use a spellbar replacement, and have Combat spells on that spellbar, you may need to update your plugin to get full functionality.
