The latest Final Fantasy XI update will give players a new opportunity to forge Artifact armor and Relic, Mythic and Empyrean weapons.
Final Fantasy XI has received a new patch bringing with it updates including two new zones, new monsters and new abilities in addition to a slew of general improvements. Perhaps of greater interest to longtime fans however will be the addition of new quests that will allow players a renewed opportunity to forge Artifact armor as well as Relic, Mythic and Empyrean weapons.
The process of obtaining these, of course, isn't an easy one. Artifact weaponry, for instance, requires a specific combination of items that "can be acquired in [new] battlefields aimed at payers of level 99 or greater."
Making the relic, mythic and empyrean weaponry, in turn, will require the players to already possess a weapon of like kind, own a "detached stinger, flame-scarred skull or craggy fin and/or have completed the "difficult or very difficult" version of a battlefield requiring a macrocosmic orb for entry. Players must have also viewed "the associated event" for the weapon they're trying to make.'
So yeah, it's not like you can walk up to the nearest shop-Moogle and toss a few stray Gil at them. Even so, there are sure to be players who will appreciate this and honestly, it's just nice to Square Enix still supporting the game despite its advancing age and the recent re-release of Final Fantasy XIV. Players interested in more information on this equipment, or in the full extent of changes being offered by the latest update, can visit the official patch notes.
