Blizzard has released a bestiary to offer fans a glimpse into the enemies they'll face in Diablo III's expansion Reaper of Souls.
Diablo III's Reaper of Souls expansion isn't due out until 2014 but Blizzard hasn't been shy about showing the game off in the months running up to its launch. In addition, to showing off new enchantment and transmogrification options, the studio has recently released a first look at the expansion's new bestiary to "[offer] a glimpse at what horrors await" players in the new content.
The monsters shown off include the Death Maiden, Executioner, Exorcist, Ghastly Seraph, Revenant Archer, Revenant Shield Guard, Revenant Soldier, Shadow of Death, Summoner of the Dead and War Beast. While all of them are pretty deeply entrenched on the creepy end of the baddies spectrum there are a few that stuck out to us. The Shadow of Death, a spirit-like creature looks pretty spooky. The Exorcist also looks pretty darned evil, but then again so do all of the monsters being shown off.
Overall, the group as a whole is populated with creatures you wouldn't want to run into in a dark alley. Of course, seeing as this is Diablo III, you can probably count on that very thing happening pretty frequently.
