Gouru ask: Just tried making some Carols Carrot Soup in real life. Though the ingame recipe was not a bad start and with some creative cookery I came up with a not half bad concoction. But that got me wondering.Who is Carol? And can we get her real life recipe to try at home?
Ibn: You know, I have no idea who Carol is. I will ask some of the folks who were on the AC team at the time of launch and Sudden Season.
Orion: It was related to a former AC1 dev, Sean Huxter to be exact. His wife makes a killer Cream of Carrot Soup, and the original team loved it so much that they put it into the game.
Yan_HG ask: The arcanum has been left behind lately. Aside from Nuhmudira, they didn't even seem to notice the olthoi invasion. I think they really should have been offering writs for specific olthoi trophies during the invasion.
What I'm getting at is: Any chance the arcanum could start collecting new items?
Orion:The Arcanum is ever hard at work better the Isparian lives. In fact the most recent contribution from the savvy crew out at Xarabydun were the alchemy gems that can be crafted. Ingots were a key ingredient in their discovery of the cibation process necessary to craft the new gems. You can expect to see more from the Arcanum in the future.
gimped mage ask: When will Combat mages be made a viable Char? I am a melee char with a wand as a weapon.
Now take the melee d bonus off bows xbows and swords and etc.. Would those chars like it anymore than i do?
Ibn: We've discussed putting melee defense on wands but no specific decision has been made either way.
AzulDrakkon ask: Altered olthoi drop sings...I know this because I've gotten a few, recently I did the quiddity weapons quest and hunted 3 or 4 times in Nidus and they've dropped nothing...whats up?
srand: As far as I can tell, they still drop sings.
Lenin ask: What are the legal ramifications of taking some random folks (privately) from the AC community, training them a bit and giving them the tools required to run ingame events according to some kind of master list of "guidelines" so to speak?
Ibn: Unfortunately that could open MS and Turbine up to the same potential lawsuit as existed with the Advocate/Sentinel program. So very unlikely.
beducky ask: So it appears that I bought property in the getto! I have seen in the updates that they are trying to move spawns away from housing developments, but about 1 in 3 recalls to my house I am being killed by olthoi. My house is located at 54.7N 70.4E so hopefully this helps narrow down some problem areas. Hehe... I think my mules have died more than my main just from numerous olthoi drive by.
Ibn: Do me a favor... when you recall, type @loc and cut and paste the results into this thread? That'll help me make sure I'm looking at the right house. Thanks!
Gameboy ask: Is this game gonna die or not? I wanna know cause I'm doing the trail and did not know if I should keep playing or not.
Ibn: This game is NOT going to be shutdown anytime in the forseeable future.
Rhesus ask: Of all of the armor styles in the game, my two favorite happen to be Amuli and Koujia.
However, I have favored Amuli for the longest time over Koujia for the simple fact that Koujia is a raging nightmare to try to match.
Scenario: It is unlikely that the current look of Koujia Armor will change. However, when it is Koujia's turn to be upgraded, hopefully the end result will be something people will be more willing and interested in wearing.
[p] Al-Egre Arn ask: Pristine dolls drop masks. This new? Before, only innocents dropped them. I killed a pristine doll while doing the Repository quests a week or 2 ago and found a mask off a pristine. Can anyone else confirm this? Or was I drunk/sleepy/medicated?
Ibn: From the November Letter to the Players: "November should see more of the guises and masks from previous years! However, the creatures that drop these body parts have changed in many cases."
