Age of Wushu is adding new join-able Sects and options to betray and leave your current School.
In the past Age of Wushu, Snail Games martial arts-centric MMORPG, has employed a Schools system that allowed characters to join one of six competing factions in the game world. Presumably because loyalty is boring and players tend to not like it when they're being penned into any sort of permanent cage, that's all about to change.
In an announcement on the game's website, it's been revealed that some major changes are coming to the system governing Schools. Namely, if you don't like the one you're in, you'll be able to leave. Granted, it won't be as easy as handing in your keys and walking out the front door. Rather, you'll need to make your exit through one of three methods: Betrayal, Excursion and Incognito.
Betrayal, as you might imagine, leads to the complete severing of ties with your current School. You can't rejoin the School afterward and lose any identity, titles and internal skills attached to it. Excursion, meanwhile, renders your School identity, titles and Ultimate Scrolls null and void while also making internal skills and School-specific fashions and functions unusable. Players won't be able to join any of the original Schools while in Excursion but does allow you to join up with one of six new Sects being introduced by the new system.
Finally, players who opt to go Incognito will lose their identity and titles, but will find fashions and functions only temporarily locked. Ultimate Scrolls will also be erased but players will retain their first three skill sets. As in Excursion, the Incognito effect will limit you to joining the new Sects. In other words, what you should take from all of this is that if you're going to leave your School for another, you'll want to be thinking about it really carefully first.
