Our CS team creates a list of the "top five most popular appeals" every night. It helps us set our priorities, and point out things that need to be clarified. Here's one such clarification:

From the most recent set of live patch notes:

"Currently, players who have not finished their current trial can do all the steps except the final encounter of a higher level trial. With this patch, players will be able to do all encounters of a trial, even if they have not finished their previous trial. Please note that players will still get master level abilities in order.

"Here's an example, if you have not finished the first trial, you can now go do Runihara in trial two and receive credit (if you've completed all the other encounters in trial two), but you will not get the level two abilities until you've finished the first trial, and then completed the second level's experience requirement."

We were not clear enough. First, I should explain - a Trial is composed of multiple encounters. At the end of Trial 1, you receive Master Level One. But encounter 1-9 is not considered a Trial - it's part of a trial.

The example is probably better than the patch note in terms of communicating our intent. :) Here's another example:

Let's say you've finished parts of Trial One. You can go do Trial Two and receive credit for the encounters. You can even do encounter ten of Trial Two without completing Trial One - but you will NOT get credit for 2.10 unless you've completed 2.1 through 2.9. You can't get credit for any of the final encounters unless you've finished the first nine encounters of that trial.

All our patch note meant was that now you can get final encounter credit (assuming you've finished 1-9 of that trial) even if you haven't finished earlier trials. And of course, the abilities are handed out in order, no matter how many encounters you have credit for.
