Officials of Monster's Local #659 representing the Unified Monsters of Dereth have voted unanimously to strike after labor negotiations with Turbine & Microsoft reached a number of unsolvable issues.
Official MOD Spokesman Bert Berserker said: "After countless hours of non-productive talks we feel that Ken Karl and other members of management, no longer wish to participate in "good Faith" bargaining negotiations." "I have ordered all monsters representing the Local of Teth and AB to leave there work stations effective July 18th, 2002 or as close to patch up date as possible, in the event of a roll-back we will leave our stations as soon as the servers are back up." It is not our intent to disrupt the general populace, so I have ordered all available monsters to report to the Obsidian Plains for further assignments." "It is our hope with this redistribution of monsters the onslaught and decimation of the humans can continue."
When asked what the major sticking issues were that led to the breakdown in contract negotiations, these issues were mentioned.
1. The continual nerfing of monsters magic defense.
2. The increased damage of melee weapons and the ability to tinker them.
3. No skill credit refund.
4. Numerous OSHA safety violations (i.e. misfiring spells that lead to workmates injuries)
5. Lack of restroom facilities in dungeons.
The biggest issue these two parties faced and were unable to come to agreements upon was the "New Isparian Weapons" Berserker commented "let the whiny humans piss and moan for one or two months and Management will give them anything they want, we ask for kibble and get squat."
Just one more upset consumer for the poor devs to cater to.
