So, without much to loose, we began our quest for the fabled Greenmire Cuirass. It was pretty comical seeing that line of Banderlings chasing us, with us having no idea where this fabled dungeon resided.
Well, we eventually found the place. It brought fear to mind seeing the swamp river nearby and the boulders and obelisks nearby. Without much of a pause, we quickly took the portal inside.
The inside of the dungeon was not at all what we had expected. We were thrown into a giant open area, with corridors running north, south, east, and west. We began exploring and managed to take down the Mosswarts and Banderlings we came across on our way. It must have taken a few hours to finally find our first key.
Eventually, we managed to find our way down to a series of ramps that, as we were told, led to the final room. We slowly crept down, meeting up with over a dozen other adventurers along the way. When we finally arrived inside this lair, we were amazed to see how many had beat us to this task.
We waited what seemed like hours as this place was easily camped by over 15+ people. Some time passed, and there were finally only a few of us left. Magic flew from all directions as the Banderling Captain made his appearance.
While my friend was busy in a group of people, I was foolish enough to sneak through and attempt opening the chest. To my surprise, the chest wouldn't open! No one had told me I needed the key the Banderling Captain carried first!
By this time, our small group was scattering and bodies lay scattered across the cold dungeon floor. I ran into a magic trap, but somehow managed to still dodge most of what came at me. My destination was the opening we had first come through. It would amaze me if I lived to tell this tale another day. I ran like I had never run before, resentful that my quest for the fabled Greenmire Cuirass had failed miserably.
I finally found the opening and began climbing the ramps that led to the jail cell section. I could hear my buddy screaming in back of me, but I knew I had to run if I wanted to escape alive. There were twisty tunnels and a maze of rooms. More than once, my health almost ran out. With utter desperation, I came around a corner and saw the four portals back to the surface. I kept running.
Once on the surface, I looked around. Outside was mostly deserted, with a few scattered bodies. I communicated with my friend that I was sorry for not staying around because of my run for my life. He had died and was not too understanding. With a heavy heart, I quickly logged off for the night.
